How to Get Rid of Gboard’s Annoying Emoji Bar
We all love using emojis to express ourselves in our messages. However, the new Emoji bar in Gboard can be quite annoying and takes up unnecessary space on our screens. If you feel the same way and want to remove the emoji bar, you're in luck! In this article, we'll show you how to do just that.
Removing the Emoji Bar in Gboard
The Gboard emoji bar doesn't appear in every app. It may show up in WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and YouTube, but strangely, it's absent in Telegram and Instagram chats. However, removing it is a simple process if you do see it.
To remove the emoji bar, follow these steps:
- Swipe left on the emoji bar.
- Tap on the option that says “Remove Bar.”
Once you tap on the “Remove Bar” button, you'll be redirected to Gboard preferences. At the bottom of the screen, you'll find a toggle switch next to “Emoji fast-access bar.” Turn it off.
Now, when you go back to the app, the emoji bar will be gone from Gboard.
It would have been much better if Google had integrated the emoji bar with the suggestion bar. That way, it wouldn't take up unnecessary space on the screen. But until that happens, you can follow the steps above to remove the emoji bar and enjoy a clutter-free typing experience.
