How to Easily Download Reddit Videos on iPhone

Downloading images and GIFs from Reddit is a breeze, but when it comes to videos, things can get a bit tricky. Fortunately, there are several workarounds that allow you to download Reddit videos on your iPhone, and I'm here to show you how.

1. Using the Reddit App

The official native Reddit app offers a simple way to download videos to your iPhone. Just follow these steps:

  1. Open the Reddit post with the video and make sure it's in full-screen mode.
  2. Tap the three-dot icon (…) on the top right corner and select “Download video” from the Share Sheet. The video will be saved to your Photos app.

2. Using Online Tools

If you prefer not to install an extra app, you can download Reddit videos on your iPhone using online tools. One such tool is Rapidsave (formerly known as Redditsave). Here's how to use it:

  1. Open the Reddit app and tap the Share icon on the post.
  2. Select “Copy the link” from the menu.
  3. Now, open rapidsave.com in the Safari web browser and paste the link in the input field. Hit the “Download” button.
  4. It will fetch the details and show all the possible resolutions of the video. Simply tap the “Download” button to start the download.
  5. After the download is finished, tap the Download icon at the top and select “Downloads” to open the Downloads folder. Your video will be there.
  6. Tap the Share icon on the bottom left corner and select “Save Video” to save it to your iPhone Photos app.

You can also use websites like viddit.red or Redv.co as alternatives to Rapidsave.

3. Using Screen Recorder

If the above methods don't work for any reason, you can try screen recording the Reddit video on your iPhone. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Control Center on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on the Screen Recording icon and select “Start.” Make sure the Microphone option is on. If you don't see the Screen Recording option, go to Settings > Control Center and add Screen Recorder.
  3. Play the Reddit video and stop the recording when it's finished. The video will be saved to your Photos app.
