How to Easily Add and Remove Admins From Your Facebook Page
Facebook has evolved from a simple social media platform to a powerful tool for expanding your business and personal brand. With Facebook pages, you can promote your products, build a fan following, and connect with your audience. Managing roles on your Facebook page is essential for effective page management. In this article, we will guide you on how to add and remove admins from your Facebook page.
Add and Update Admin Roles for a Facebook Page
Managing your Facebook page doesn't have to be a one-person job. You can assign a community manager, create new page roles, and even change admins. Let's walk through the process of making these relevant changes to your Facebook page.
Assign a Community Manager
A community manager is responsible for moderating the community on your page. They can remove or suspend users who violate community rules and take care of chat comments.
- Visit Facebook on the web and sign in with your account details.
- Check your current Facebook pages from the left sidebar.
- Select “Settings” from the left sidebar.
- Choose “Page Roles” from the following menu.
- Click “Manage” in the Community Managers menu, and it will open “Creator Studio” on the web.
- Click “Add Community Manager” and enter your Facebook friend's name. Select a relevant suggestion from the list and send an invite.
The community manager will have the power to delete comments, ban people from live streams, and see all admins for the Facebook page.
Assign a New Page Role on Facebook Desktop
After assigning a community manager, you can assign new page roles to relevant users. Follow these steps to make changes:
- Open Facebook and head to your Facebook Page settings.
- Select “Page Roles” and scroll to the “Assign a new Page role” menu.
- Type a name or your friend's email and select “Admin.”
- Before hitting the “Add” button, let's understand the different permissions for Facebook page roles.
- Admin: This role has complete control over your Facebook page. Admins can publish, edit, and manage all aspects of the page, create ads, check comments and insights, and assign other roles.
- Editor: Editors can publish content, send messages via Page Messenger, delete comments, create ads, post from Instagram to Facebook, and view page insights.
- Moderator: Moderators have similar permissions to editors, except for publishing content. They can respond to and delete comments on the page, create ads, see who created a post or comment, and view insights.
- Advertiser: Advertisers can create ads, see who created a post or comment, and view insights. If an Instagram account is connected to the page, they can create ads there too.
- Analyst: Analysts can see which admin created a post or comment and view insights.
Remember, when you invite someone to become an admin, Facebook will ask for authentication before sending the invitation.
Add Admins to Facebook Page on Mobile
You can also add admins to your Facebook page using the mobile app.
- Open the Facebook app on your phone.
- Tap on the hamburger menu in the top right corner.
- Select “Pages” and open your Facebook page.
- Tap on the gear icon in the top right corner for settings.
- Open “Page Roles” and select “Add Person to Page.”
- Type the name of a Facebook user.
- Select “Admin” from the “Page Roles” menu and hit the “Add” button.
Once the person accepts your invitation, they will have the ability to manage your Facebook page.
Remove Admins from a Facebook Page
If you no longer want someone to be an admin on your Facebook page, you can easily remove them.
- Open the Page Roles menu in your Facebook page settings.
- Scroll to the “Existing Page roles” menu.
- Select the “Edit” button beside the admin you want to remove.
- You can either change the person's permission or click the “Remove” button to delete them from your page.
Manage Your Facebook Page Like a Pro
Creating a Facebook page is just the first step. To effectively manage your page, invite community managers and other users with relevant permissions. Facebook offers the same options on mobile, allowing you to make changes on the go. Take advantage of these features to grow your business and personal brand on Facebook.
