Find Your Recap in YouTube Music

Your YouTube Music Recap includes personalized playlists and statistics based on your favorite songs, artists, and listening times. These recaps are curated specifically for you, taking into account your listening history on the YouTube Music platform.

To access your yearly recap on YouTube Music, simply open the app on your iPhone or Android device. Then, tap on your profile icon located on the top right of the screen. From there, tap on “Your Recap” to access the recap menu. Finally, tap on “Get your Recap” to view your yearly recap.

Share Your YouTube Music Recap

There are two ways to share your YouTube Music recap: through the share menu or by downloading the recap to customize it further.

To share the recap using the Share menu, tap on “Share” while viewing the recap in the YouTube Music app. From there, select the app you want to share the recap to, such as Instagram or Snapchat, and choose the format, whether it's a story or a snap.

Alternatively, you can save the recap highlights to your phone by using the download button in the bottom left corner. This allows you to share your recap on any platform and customize it according to your preferences. For example, you can post your recap on Instagram as a Reel.

  2. The Top 5: You'll find your top five most-listened-to artists. However, only the play duration of your top artist will be displayed.

  3. The Top Artist: This tile showcases the top artist whose songs you played the most, along with the total play duration and the number of different songs you listened to from their collection.

  4. The Stats: You'll receive unique stats based on your YouTube Music profile, including comparisons to average listeners. For example, you might find out how many times you listened to a particular artist or how much their popularity grew since you started listening to them.

  5. Top Tracks: The recap will reveal your top track of the year, including the date you first listened to it and the number of times you played it. Additionally, it will showcase the top five tracks you listened to throughout the year.

  6. Top Playlists and Albums of the Year: Your top five playlists and albums will have a special mention in the recap.

  7. Your Music Mood: You'll be presented with a music mood calendar, featuring album art arranged by the month they were played in. Additionally, a music mood tile will analyze your music listening patterns.

  8. Top Genres: Based on your listening history, YouTube Music Recap will organize your top five favorite genres.

  9. Summary Recap: The final tile provides a summarized view of your top artists, tracks, and total listening time.
