Creating and Editing Collages in Google Photos
You can create and edit a collage in Google Photos using two methods. Let's start with the first one.
Method 1: Create and Edit a Collage from Photos Tab
- Open the Google Photos app on your smartphone.
- Scroll through the Photos tab and select the photos you want to include in the collage by long-pressing on them.
- Tap on the option “+ Add to.”
- Select “Collage” to begin.
- The newly updated Collage Editor will open. Choose a layout for the collage by tapping on it.
- If you want to rearrange the photos, long-press on an image from the collage and drag it over another image to change its position.
- Once you're satisfied with the arrangement, you can further edit the images of the collage by tapping on an image.
- You can choose to apply filters or use other editing tools like Crop, Adjust, Markup, etc.
- After editing, tap on “Save” to save the collage to your smartphone.
Method 2: Create and Edit a Collage from Library Tab
If you prefer a different approach, you can create a collage from the Library tab. Here's how:
- Tap on the Library tab in the Google Photos app.
- Tap on the “Utilities” option in the upper right corner.
- Select “Collage” to begin.
- Choose the photos you want to include in the collage and tap on “Create.”

Editing a Collage After Creating It
If you have already saved a collage to your phone and want to edit it later, follow these steps:
- Open the Google Photos app and tap on the collage you want to edit.
- Tap on the “Edit” button at the bottom of the screen.
- The Google Photos editor will open. Select the editing tool you want to use, such as Crop, Adjust, Filters, Markup, etc.
- Make the desired edits and tap on “Done” to save the changes.
- To save the edited collage, tap on “Save copy.”
