How to Change Your Instagram App Icon
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Instagram has hidden a special surprise for its users – the ability to change the app icon to one of its previous designs. If you're tired of the same old look, here's how you can give your Instagram app a fresh makeover.
Change the Instagram App Icon on your Smartphone
First things first, make sure you have the latest version of the Instagram app installed on your smartphone. This feature is available on version 162.0 and above. If you haven't updated yet, head to the Play Store or the App Store to check for any available updates.
Once you've confirmed that your app is up to date, open the Instagram app and tap on your Profile icon located in the bottom right corner. Next, tap the Hamburger button in the top right corner to open the menu.
Now, tap the Settings button to access the Settings page. Here's where it gets interesting – the option to change the app icon is hidden. Swipe down from the top of the page to reveal the hidden menu.
As you continue swiping down, you'll notice some emojis at the top of the page. Keep swiping down until you see the hidden menu.
Voila! In the hidden menu, you'll find a selection of Instagram's official icons, along with the dates they were introduced. Choose the icon you prefer and tap on it to set it as your app icon.
And just like that, you've successfully changed the Instagram app icon on your smartphone. Enjoy the fresh new look!
