How to Block and Unblock Someone on Facebook and Messenger

On the homepage, click on the Friends button in the sidebar.

In the left sidebar, search for the profile you want to block and select their name. This will load their profile in the right window-pane.

Click on the three-dot menu icon and choose the Block option from the dropdown menu.

A pop-up will appear, explaining the consequences of blocking someone on Facebook. Click the Confirm button to proceed.
Block Someone on Messenger
You can also block someone on Messenger right from within Facebook. Here's how:

On Facebook's homepage, in the right sidebar, search for the name of the person you want to block in the Messenger app.

Click on the name of the friend from the list to open the chat window in a pop-up.

Click on the downward arrow next to their name and select Block from the menu.

A pop-up will appear with two options: “Block messages and calls” and “Block on Facebook.” Choose the option that suits your needs.
Unblock Someone on Facebook
If you've changed your mind and want to unblock someone on Facebook, follow these steps:

Open the Facebook app and select the three-bar menu icon. Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings and scroll down to find Blocking. Tap on it.

Unblock Someone on Messenger
To unblock someone on Messenger, follow these steps:

Under Blocked accounts, you'll find a list of all the profiles you've blocked on Messenger. Tap on the profile you want to unblock.

To unblock the chosen profile from both Facebook and Messenger apps, you'll need to unblock them from Facebook first. Otherwise, the option will be greyed out.
