How to Add and Set Medication Reminders in Apple Health App

Adding Medications to Apple Health App

If you often forget to take your medications, your iPhone can now help you stay on track. Here's how you can add medications to the Apple Health app:

  1. Open the Apple Health app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on the Browse tab at the bottom right corner.
  3. In the health categories section, select Medications.
  4. Tap on Add a Medication to start.
  5. Enter the name of the medication and tap Next.
  6. Choose the form of medication (e.g., capsule, tablet) and tap Next.
  7. Enter the strength of the medication and select its unit, then tap Next.
  8. Tap on Frequency to choose how often you need to take the medication. You can select multiple types of frequencies, such as specific days of the week or every other day. Once done, tap Add a time.
  9. Tap on the time you want to set for taking the medication.
  10. Select a suitable time from the time selector and tap Next.
  11. Tap Next to proceed.
  12. Choose a medicine shape that closely resembles yours and tap Next.
  13. Select a color for the medication and tap Next.
  14. Tap Done to complete the process.

Setting Medication Reminders on Apple Health

After adding medications to the Apple Health app, it's important to enable reminders to ensure you take your medications on time. Here's how you can set reminders for your medications:

  1. Go back to Apple Health > Browse > Medications after adding a medication.
  2. Tap on Options.
  3. Turn on Dose Reminders to receive push notifications for your scheduled medication.

By following these simple steps, you can add medications and set reminders in the Apple Health app. You no longer have to worry about missing doses or feeling guilty. If you have an Apple Watch, you'll also receive notifications on your watch, adding an extra layer of convenience.
