Honor Pad 8 To Launch With Snapdragon 680
A mobile tech leaker on Weibo posted today that the upcoming Honor tablet with the model number HEY-W09 is an 8-inch tablet.
Furthermore, the Honor Pad 8 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, a 2K resolution display, and as previously suggested already, support 22.5W charging too.
This would be a power upgrade over their current 8-inch tablet, which is the MediaTek MT8768 powered Honor Pad X7.
With a Snapdragon 680 CPU, we will be looking at almost twice the power. But I don't know if the Honor Pad 8 is meant to replace the Honor Pad X7, since this tablet was launched in May last year.
So it could be that Honor is simply expanding their tablet range alongside other new Honor mobile products.
