Get Ready for Amazon Prime Day 2021
The countdown to the biggest online sale of the year, Amazon Prime Day 2021, has already begun. And we're here to prepare you for it. From the best products on sale to all-important shopping tips, here's everything you need to know about Amazon Prime Day 2021.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2021?
Despite the name, Prime Day is a 48-hour sale that will kick off on Monday, June 21 at 12:01 am PT and end on June 22 at 11:59 pm PT. While Prime Day usually takes place in mid-July, this year the company has elected June to host its sale extravaganza. Even last year, the company was forced to postpone Prime Day to October 13 & 14 in the US due to Covid-19 complications.
Who Can Participate?
Only customers with Amazon Prime membership will be able to participate in this 48-hour sale. Not a Prime customer? Don't worry. Amazon offers a 30-day free trial to Amazon Prime membership to first-time customers, so you won't be missing out on this sale bonanza. For everyone else, Prime membership costs about $119/year or $13/month with special discounts for students, EBT, and Medicaid recipients.
Where will Prime Day be Celebrated?
Prime Day will be celebrated in multiple countries including the US, the UK, the UAE, Turkey, Spain, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, China, Brazil, Belgium, Austria, and Australia. Sadly, Prime customers in India and Canada will be left out from this two-day event due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation.
What Will Be on Sale During Prime Day 2021?
A lot of things. This year, Amazon has promised over two million deals during this 48-hour sale. Everything from Amazon Echo devices to Apple products will be on sale. Beyond that, one can expect great deals on laptops, TVs, headphones, and smart home devices as well. Appliances like vacuums, beauty products, kitchen, and home appliances, etc. are also expected to see a discounted price.

Amazon Prime Day Shopping Tips
While it's easy to get carried away during such big sales, there are a few shopping tips that you should remember to get the most out of the Prime Day deals.
-
Prepare a Wishlist: Some deals only last for a limited time, so be prepared with your wishlist beforehand to make the most of it. If you miss out on any deals, check other big retail giants like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy, as they are also expected to match or even undercut some of the deals offered on Prime Day.
-
Check Price History: Sellers on Amazon often hike up prices before sale events, so check the price history of every product you intend to buy with websites like CamelCamelCamel or Shopbrain. You can also use the Camelizer extension for Chrome to quickly look up the price history of a product.
-
Watch Out for Fake Reviews: When buying products from lesser-known brands or sellers on Amazon, double-check with sites like Fakespot to filter out fake reviews.
Bonus: Get Prime Day $10 Gift Card: Amazon is offering a $10 credit to spend on Prime Day if you spend $10 before June 20 on items sold by select small businesses. Visit Amazon's Support Small landing page to find eligible products.
