Amazon have just announced what they now label “Digital Day” which is the second year of sales on December 29th on digital content for either Amazon's own devices, or any other devices from Windows to Apple phones, tablets, computers TV's, and media players that can play content from Amazon: amazon.com/digitalday

The timing isn't that bad, since a lot of people will receive for instance Kindle eReaders and Amazon Fire tablets for Christmas, and having had a few days to play around with it first will give people the time to figure out what apps and content they want next.

Amazon says that while the largest savings on “Digital Day” will be launched at 12AM December 29, a preview of the 5000+ sales along with a few starter deals will be available from December 26, or Tuesday next week in other words. Talk about good time for Christmas movies at least.
