The new Acer Swift 3 2020 model is launching these days, and for those in the market for a ultraportable Windows notebook, the Acer Swift 3 is worth a look.
Acer is huge in Asia, where it’s common to see Acer stores just like we do with Apple stores. But Acer definitely has smaller presence in the US, so a lot of people will not have heard anything of this new Windows 10 notebook before.
The Acer Swift 3 (SF313-52-52) is built to be a thin and lightweight Windows 10 notebook in magnesium, with a thickness of 16mm and a weight of just 1150 grams. It also an aspect ratio of 3:2 which is a rarity among notebooks in this class and one of the reason why many people want to buy it.
The 13.5-inch screen has a resolution of 2256 x 1504 and modern specs for brains, such as an Intel Core i5-1035G4 Ice Lak processor, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD storage, and Iris Plus Graphics Pro G4. That enables this Windows laptop to achieve Geekbench 4 benchmark scores of over 5,300 in single-core and 16,100 in multi-core scores.
Other specs you need to know about includes the white/silver backlit keyboard with a fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wi-Fi 6, a long battery life, and ports including Thunderbolt 3 / USB C, a USB A 3.1 port, a USB A 2.0 port, a HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
So basically a light and portable Windows 10 laptop at 13.5 inches, but with an aspect ratio that’s geared towards work, with a stylish design, and future proof specs such as Wi-Fi 6 and Thunderbolt 3.
