8-Inch Tablet Phone Huawei Honor Tablet Launched
Huawei have some tablets that are very interesting, and their newest tablet Huawei Honor Tablet is no different, seeing that it is an 8-inch tablet phone.
It is launched first in Malaysia, with pre-orders starting today for RM599, the equivalent of $179 in the US.
Huawei Honor Tablet looks like an 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab, and for the price, the specs are surprisingly plentiful and good. It has an 8-inch IPS screen with 1280 x 800 resolution, a quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM8212) processor, 16GB storage, 1GB DDR2 RAM, and a 4800 mAh battery capacity which can give it a battery life of 13 hours!

The Android OS version is Android 4.3 + Huawei's Emotion UI 1.6. Not having Android 4.4 is pretty typical for phone calling tablets, so that seems to be the case with all of them these days.
It has a 0.3MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera. Sensors include GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
It has full ordinary 3G (3.75G) phone calling functions with HSDPA+ (up to 42 Mbit/s DL/5.76 Mbit/s UL). Wi-Fi support is for 802.11 b/g/n, in addition to Bluetooth 4.0. In dimensions the Huawei Honor Tablet is 7.9 mm thick, and weighs 360 gram.
I think it's safe to say that the Huawei Honor Tablet is a lot of tablet for very little money. Now we just need to see it launch outside of Malaysia.
