The X1 tablet combines power, versatility, and innovative design into one portable gaming machine.
The X1's standout feature is its ability to switch between three different modes. It can operate as a laptop, tablet, or handheld system. This gives users an extremely flexible gaming experience.
When used as a handheld, the X1 resembles the Nintendo Switch. It has detachable controller grips that connect to the left and right sides of the screen. The controllers can also be attached together to form a standalone gamepad.
As a tablet, the X1 has a large 10.95-inch touchscreen with 2560 x 1600 resolution and fast 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is an LTPS LCD that promises vibrant colors and sharp details. The tablet itself is only 13mm thick and weighs 789 grams.
OneXPlayer X1 transforms into a laptop with the help of an optional magnetic keyboard attachment. A built-in kickstand props up the screen like a Microsoft Surface. This setup allows for desktop-style PC gaming using a mouse.
Under the hood, the X1 packs serious performance. Configurations feature either the Intel Core i7-155H or i5-125H processors. Both chips use Intel's latest 4nm Meteor Lake architecture. They also have Intel's newest Arc integrated graphics, promising much better graphics power versus older Intel CPUs.
The X1 can be equipped with up to 64GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM and 4TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage. It has plenty of ports including USB-C with Thunderbolt 4, OCuLink, and USB4 support. There's also USB-A and a microSD slot.
Other highlights include a 65Wh battery with 100W fast charging, Harman Kardon speakers, fingerprint sensor, IR facial recognition camera, and stylish RGB lights on the back.
The X1 launched first in China with prices starting around $840 USD for lower specs. A top-tier model with Core i7, 32GB RAM, and 4TB storage costs approximately $1,400 USD.
The gaming tablet is expected to launch globally through an Indiegogo campaign soon.
OneXPlayer's new X1 gaming tablet aims to push portable gaming to the next level. Its innovative three-in-one design plus powerful Intel Meteor Lake processors will attract mobile gamers wanting flexibility and performance. The X1's premium specs like a 2.5K 120Hz screen and Thunderbolt 4 even make it viable as a productivity machine.
Its high price may limit wider adoption, but the X1 still looks poised to shake up the handheld gaming space. We'll know if it succeeds when it launches worldwide later this year.
