11.5-Inch Honor Pad X8 Pro Tablet Presented Today

Huawei's subsidiary brand Honor is busy expanding it's tablet portfolio, as it just upgraded one of its mid-range tablets today.

The latest Honor tablet is in the X-family, with the full name of the tablet being Honor Pad X8 Pro. It will launch in China first next week already, from 1099 Yuan.

This is a 11.5-inch Android 13 based tablet, featuring the MagicOS 7.1 UI, and a Full HD resolution display at 2000 x 1200, with a 120 Hz refresh rate. This screen size offers something between the 11-inch and the larger 12-inch plus tablets, so that's interesting.

Power comes from the octa-core 2.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor, which means that it has optional 4G. Model options are between 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 128GB storage, or 8GB of RAM with the 4G model.

It has three color options too, with gray, green, and violet choices as you can see here.

Another typical Honor tablet exterior feature is the slim design, which is present even on their lower priced tablets. And the Honor Pad X8 Pro is just 6.9mm thick, while weighing 495 grams, which I consider good in this price range.

To keep the cost down, Honor didn't go overboard with the rest of the specs. So they have skipped a digitizer and keyboard for the X8 Pro since you can get that on some of their other tablets instead.

But it still has 5MP front and rear cameras, 6 speakers, a 7250 mAh battery with 10W charging, Wi-Fi 5, BT 5.1, and USB C port.

It may still take 2-3 months before this tablet launches outside of China though. So until then, the closest tablets when considering both the size and price, are the Teclast T50 Pro and the Fire Max 11.
