Dell unveiled a line of four new tablets on October 2 in New York, ranging from 7 to 11 inches in size, and a choice of either Android or Windows operating systems. This new tablet line is called Dell Venue.

Dell Venue 8 Pro
Another 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet, with a 1280×800 display. Like the bigger Venue 11, it has Microsoft Office integration, and security features and services such as TPM and Dell Enterprise Services.
The processor is a Intel Atom processor Z3740D (2MB Cache, up to 1.8GHz Quad-Core). Storage options are 32/64GB, with 2GB DDR3L-RS 1600MHz. The GPU is Intel Gen 7 Graphics. Battery power is only 4830mAh, from a 2-cell battery.
In addition it has a 1.2MP HD front camera and a 5MP rear camera.
Dell Venue 8 Pro price begins at $299.99, with a minimum weight of 395g. Official release date: October 18.

Dell is introducing a new screen size on this Windows 8.1 tablet, with a 10.8-inch FHD display (1920 x 1080).
There are as many as 5 different CPU options on this tablet:
– Intel Atom processor Z3770 (2MB Cache, up to 2.4GHz Quad-Core)
– Intel Pentium 3560Y processor (2MB Cache, 1.2 GHz Dual -Core)
– Intel Core i3 4020Y processor (3MB Cache, 1.5 GHz Dual -Core)
– Intel Core i5 4210Y processor (3MB Cache, 1.5 GHz Dual -Core)
– Intel Core i5 4300Y processor (3MB Cache, 1.6 GHz Dual -Core)
Storage options are 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. With RAM options being 2GB DDR3 1333MHz or 4GB/8GB DDR3 1600MHz.
There are also 2 GPU options, either the Intel Gen 7 GPU or Intel GT2 Graphics.
Features are Microsoft Office integration, and optional security features and services such as TPM and Dell Enterprise Services. Additionally stylus, detachable keyboard, removable/replaceable battery, and with the optional docking “Desktop Dock” comes USB 3.0 ports too. Dell Venue 11 Pro begins at $499 for the lowest specs version, incidentally also the “lightest” configuration at 726 gram.

Dell Venue 7
This is Dell’s version of the 7-inch budget tablet. With Android 4.2 and a 1280×800, it should be cheap, but is priced as high as $149, which makes a pricey tablet compared to models from Asus, Amazon, HP, and a long list of others. See comparison.
It’s powered by the Intel Atom processor Z2560 (up to 1.6GHz Dual-Core), with a Intel HD Graphics GPU, 16GB storage (only option), and 2GB of DDR2 RAM. The front camera is a mere VGA while the rear camera is 3MP.
The battery power is 4100mAh from the 1-cell battery.
The $149 Dell Venue 7 weighs 314g. Release date: November 4.

Dell’s entry into the 8-inch Android 4.2 tablet segment, with a 1280×800 resolution from the 8.0-inch display.
The CPU is the Intel Atom processor Z2580 (up to 2.0GHz Dual-Core), with Intel HD Graphics GPU.
It has 2GB of LP-DDR2 RAM, and storage options being 16/32GB.
Additionally, a 2MP HD front camera and a 5MP rear camera, a 4100mAh) 1-Cell battery.
The 292g Dell Venue 8 is priced from $179.99 with a November 22 release date.
