In addition to the new Chinese 8-inch Windows 10 tablet Cube iWork 8 we wrote about yesterday, there’s also a few upcoming new Chinese tablets that are going to compete with it, and one of them is the Vido W8X:

And like the Cube tablet, this model too has a short battery life, though at least it is a little better on this model, with a 4200 mAh battery capacity and just over 4 hours battery life. But still short as we see.
The specs are otherwise the same, with a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8300 “Cherry Trail” processor, 2GB DDR3 RAM, and 32GB storage with 128GB microSD card support.
The 8-inch IPS screen has a HD 1280 x 800 resolution, though we’ll soon see FHD Cherry Trail tablets in this category at about the same price as well.
Wi-Fi is the standard 802.11 b/g/n, with Bluetooth 4.0, as well as a micro-USB and micro-HDMI port on board, while stereo speakers and a 2MP front camera and 2MP rear camera is included as well.
A lot of Chinese tablet manufacturers are struggling to stay afloat these days, and missing on some of the important specs provides at least one clue as to why.
The cheapest tablet in this category from an established tablet brand, is currently the Acer Iconia Tab 8 W, but that’s with the older and slower Bay Trail processor.
