The most reputable Apple analyst added his thoughts on the prospects of foldable iPhones today, when Ming-Chi Kuo wrote in a research note today which was then relayed by MacRumors that Apple may not come to launch a foldable iPhone before 2023.
So it seems very probable that we’ll have to wait at least another full two years before Apple hypothetically launches a foldable iPhone-iPad hybrid.
Kuo notes that the display size they seem to be experimenting with now, is in the 7.5-inch to 8-inch range, which is in line with current foldables from Samsung, Huawei, and Royole’s foldables.
He also points out what other reliable sources have said before, which is that Apple is still just experimenting with prototypes at this stage and that they haven’t decided on the feasibility of a foldable for Apple yet.
