New iPad mini 5 Coming In First Half Of 2019 And Next iPad 9.7 To Stretch To iPad 10 Says Report

A new report out of China Times picked up by Mac Otakara confirms the report from October that Apple is preparing a new iPad mini 5, quoting supply chain sources, and the report also says that the iPad mini 4 is expected to go into production now in December.

So far only a more cost effective display and a newer processor are the specs that have been expected to go into the new iPad mini 5, though more specs should leak soon if this iPad is entering production now. The Apple iPad mini 5 launch is so far only expected to be within the timeframe of the first half of 2019.

What’s more, is that the same report also quotes sources that says Apple’s next iPad 9.7 may in fact disappear for the first time in iPad history, and that it may be replaced by a larger Apple iPad 10 in 2019.

This is the first time we’ve heard of any rumor or leak about an iPad 10, and the report only states that it is believed to be priced similarly to the iPad 9.7, and that it seems to feature thinner bezels.
