New 8-Inch Android Tablet With FHD Leaks With Acer A6201

A new unofficial 8-inch Android tablet from Acer have leaked via benchmarks at Gfxbench. Acer haven't announced that they will launch any new 8-inch Android tables in 2016 other than the ones that are already in the market, so what month this tablet will be launched is uncertain.

The new 8-inch Android 6.0 Marshmallow tablet that was benchmarked during the last 24 hours is simply called Acer A6201 at this point. It is listed with some decent specs, such as a Full HD resolution 1920 x 1200 resolution display on an 8-inch screen, with the 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.

Based on the other benchmark specs, it may also feature a 5MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera. As well as potentially having e-compass, gyro, NFC, and GPS sensors.

This model is listed with a SIM card tray, which means that this version is a 4G LTE cellular version and that there may be a Wi-Fi edition of the same tablet too, but maybe with another chipset without the cellular modem then.

The most interesting 8-inch Full HD tablet from Acer is the Acer Predator 8 gaming tablet, by far the most distinctive looking tablet on the market.

The last 8-inch tablets that have been released are the Amazon Fire HD 8 that was launched 3 weeks ago, and the Lenovo Tab3 8 that was launched during the summer.

8-inch tablets with Android 6.0 and Full HD resolution or higher, with a price under $199 are Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 and Asus ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580C).
