While I personally miss the fun old days when Acer would experiment with tablet computers on many different levels, Acer is at least continuing to manufacture tablets, even if it is with a significantly smaller range, and with more of a focus on rugged tablets and the education sector.
But once again they have been commission by the British electronics retailer group Currys to manufacture a 10.4-inch Android tablet for the British and Nordic markets in 2021, the latest official records shows.
Three unannounced 10.4-inch Android tablets (10.36 inches) with the model numbers Acer ATAB1422E, ATAB1422, and even ACTAB14D for a dedicated demo model have been certified with Bluetooth 5.0, as they are headed towards electronic stores Currys in the UK, and Elkjøp in Norway and the other Nordic markets.
This is the most competitive tablet size category at the end of 2021, but at least the price could be pretty good on Acer’s entry into this tablet category.
