A rumor has been circulating for a little while that Motorola may resurrect their RAZRline once more, and that this time Motorola RAZR will be reborn as a foldable tablet phone.
Previously this rumor had been based on some patents that Motorola holds, but patents never reflect that a patent holder may actually manufacture that product. After all, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos owns patents for small rockets for tablet computers.
But now supply chain sources in Asia are being quoted by Digitimes, saying that the foldable Motorola RAZR tablet phone is to be produced in 200,000 units and that the RAZR is built with flexible OLED displays from AU Optronics with film from Kolon Industries.
Motorola is definitely the right company to sell a fold out smartphone/folding tablet, considering the many out of the ordinary inventions Motorola has added to their smartphones the last decade.
