Lenovo Tab 4 8 – A New 8-Inch Budget Tablet From Lenovo With Android 7.0 Nougat
Lenovo announced the 8-inch Android 7.0 Nougat tablet Lenovo Tab 4 8 today at the MWC 2017 in Spain. Lenovo Tab 4 8 is a new 8-inch Android Nougat tablet with HD display that Lenovo will launch globally in May, starting at €169.
Lenovo Tab 4 8 will be the new entry level 8-inch Android 7.0 tablet from Lenovo. It features a HD display with 1280 x 800 resolution and 350 nits brightness, while it's powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage with microSD card support up to 128GB.
Tab 4 8 has front-facing stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 2MP front camera, a 5MP rear camera, a micro-USB 2.0 port, a 3.5 mm audio combo jack, g-sensor, hall sensor, vibrator, GPS, and optional 4G LTE connectivity, at least in some markets.
Internet connectivity otherwise comes from single-channel 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi or Bluetooth 4.0.
Lenovo Tab 4 8 battery life is stated as 10+ hours long, from a 4850 mAh Li-ion Polymer battery that has a 5 hour charge time.
The weight of Lenovo’s new entry level 8-inch Android 7.0 tablet is a pretty decent 310 grams, while it is 8.2 mm thick.
An optional accessory for the Lenovo Tab 4 8 (TB-8504X) is what Lenovo calls the “Kid's Pack” which is essentially a bumper case that will protect the tablet better aginst drops to the floor.
