Amazon introduced the regular version of the new Fire HD 10 on September 19 last year, but today they announced the July 11 launch of the kids version of the tablet too: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079Z8PLYW/
The larger Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Edition is the same 10.1-inch Fire OS tablet as before, but this special Kids Edition comes with features that customers wouldn’t get otherwise. These includes the rubber bumper case in either blue, yellow, or pink, it comes with the 2-year guarantee in case it breaks, and on year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited.
Parents can access and tweak the settings of the tablet both through the tablet and through the Parent Dashboard on their smartphone.
So not only is the Fire HD 10 a decent tablet in itself, with a Full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution display, 2GB of RAM, a 1.8 GHz quad-core processor, microSD support up to 256GB, full Wi-Fi cover, a 10 hour long battery life, a 0.3MP front camera and 2MP rear camera, and Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, but there’s tons of free content included with this version too, making it something of a perfect travel accessory for kids this summer.
