Asus unveiled the Asus Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED on May 9th this year, and I’m pleased to learn that it has been released in the US now, and even for $200 less than Asus anticipated during the presentation:
For $2000 you get a feature rich and unique laptop, with two OLED touchscreens that provides a platform for doing things you otherwise won’t be able to on a normal laptop. Specifically it will speed up work on your computer, when you need to run and input a lot of various information from different sources all at the same time.
So the 12.7-inch second screen known as the ScreenPad Plus is in no way a gimmick. This is computer innovation in the right direction.
This Asus Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED (UX8402ZA) model has a 14.5-inch main touchscreen with a 2880 x 1800 resolution OLED display, 550 nits brightness and digitizer support, and powerful specifications such as a 12th gen. 4.7 GHz Intel Core i7-12700H processor, Iris Xe, 32GB LPDDR5 RAM, 1TB M.2 NVMe 4.0 SSD storage, Windows 11 Home, 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6, and additional goodies like 4 mics, noise canceling, pleasant speakers, and of course a secondary OLED screen with resolution of 2880 x 864.
Judging it by the laptops that’s been indicated for launch in the marketplace in 2022, the Asus Zenbook Pro 14 Duo is one of the best contenders for the laptop of the year title.
