Chuwi MiniBook Crowdfunding Starts June 20 At $499 For First Backers
Chuwi is getting itself into the hot Windows pocket laptop segment soon, as they will launch their Chuwi MiniBook crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo in June.
It appears that not everything have been finalized yet, but they should be in time for the funding campaign next month.
What's known about the Chuwi MiniBook specs so far is that it's an 8-inch Windows laptop with a Full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution touchdisplay and a 360 degree revolving convertible design, so that it works in tablet mode, tent mode, and laptop mode.
The brain in this tablet substitute is a Intel Core m3-8100Y processor, with 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and 128GB eMMC storage + M.2 SSD storage + microSD card expansion support.
The Chuwi MiniBook battery life is allegedly going to be 8 hours long from a decently sized 26.6Wh battery pack inside of it. And it has fast charge too.
Other specifications includes two full-size USB 3.0 ports, a USB C port, a HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack. The keyboard is backlit and also has a mouse. The keys are lower than on the first of these devices from last year, so the keyboard could be interesting to try out.
While Chuwi haven't announced the store price yet, it looks like it will be in the same price range as the main rival at the moment, which is the Topjoy Falcon. Though there will still be a few months left until the Chuwi MiniBook is launched, so who knows what the price of the Topjoy Falcon will be by then.
