The Chuwi Hi8 Pro is in pre-sale internationally now, and this Full HD 8-inch Windows 10 tablet with Cherry Trail processor will be launched in November: http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_343663.html
Chuwi is a brand of Chinese tablets that has been quick to come out with tablet that feature the newest processors. Apart from that, it has at least one annoying drawback that haunts a lot of, but not all, budget tablets from China, and that’s short battery life.
Chuwi Hi8 Pro has a 4000 mAh battery capacity, and on a 8-inch Full HD tablet with 1920 x 1200 resolution and not the world’s best power management, this only amounts to a 5 hour battery life. That’s okay if you use it as a cheap home computer, but challenging to say the least if you take it with you when you travel, unlike the 8-inch Full HD Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 8 Windows that offers 15 hours of battery life on the road.
The main specs are standard for this type of tablet, with an Intel Atom x5-Z8300 “Cherry Trail” processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, and 32GB storage, though the memory card support is only for cards up to 64GB, and not 128GB.
It also has stereo speakers, 2MP cameras on the front and back, a USB Type-C port, 802 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a thickness of 9.6 mm and a weight of 350 grams.
At just under $110 it will be cheap for a Full HD tablet at launch, but I imagine the battery life is the one thing that will annoy most potential customers.
