Everybody is talking about cryptocurrency; I had to check my watch to make sure it wasn\u2019t 2021 again. Well, in answer to that particular question, it does absolutely nothing, and investing thousands of dollars into a memecoin is often a disastrous idea.<\/span><\/p>\n

What it does signal, though, is that retail is back in the game. While a couple of recent violent market corrections have flattened many of the freshly produced worthless coins, it doesn\u2019t seem that institutional investors are too fazed \u2013 which is probably the best sign to look for.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While memecoins seem to be erupting out of the Solana blockchain like a fountain of endless despair, for those of us who understand how crypto works and have been trying to onboard our friends and family for the best part of a decade, this has meant that there has been a plethora of platforms that allow us to buy and sell crypto or track it on our mobile devices.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rising use cases<\/b><\/h2>\n

Arguably, the most crucial reason behind the rise of cryptocurrency is the increasing demand from other, more traditional areas of the economy. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, there has also been a pretty steep rise in the number of traditional platforms using the blockchain and crypto assets to try and build a bridge that exhibits how forward-thinking a lot of this technology is.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sweepstakes casino gaming is a niche area of online gambling that focuses more on the gaming side than wages and prizes. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, some tech and gaming juggernauts, such as Microsoft and Apple, have specifically shifted much of their resources and investments toward mobile gaming. Although there\u2019s obviously a big market for smartphone gaming, this also includes tablets and Apple tablet-like devices like<\/span> the iPad<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Investors have been able to keep up to date with their stocks and shares for the best part of 20 years now, so cryptocurrency has simply followed the same blueprint. <\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s nothing too different about the apps or devices people use to track, trade or use their cryptocurrency. We\u2019d say it falls into two distinct categories, though.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Centralized exchanges<\/b><\/h3>\n

Some of the prominent names in the cryptocurrency industry are those that facilitate a platform for regular investors or those who might not be experts in the field to slice off a bit of their cash and invest it into crypto.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It should go without saying, but we’ll say it anyway \u2013 you should not invest in digital assets if you do not have the resources, as your capital is always at risk.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another couple of points that should seem obvious but quite worryingly isn\u2019t, to many people \u2013 do not invest in crypto you do not understand, and do not use dangerous tools like leverage designed for professional traders.<\/span><\/p>\n

While the SEC in the US seems to have made it their mission to curtail the activities of some of the hugely successful and pioneering cryptocurrency exchanges, such as Coinbase<\/span> and Binance<\/span><\/a>, if you\u2019re based in other countries where the legislation is more favorable, you can access their apps on your tablet or smartphone with zero issues and track your crypto investments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Software wallets<\/b><\/h3>\n

The other alternative is to set up your own cryptocurrency wallet. While dozens of prominent companies will offer a platform to do this, the most popular one currently is MetaMask, which boasts around 100 million unique wallet addresses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Consensys, the company behind MetaMask’s structure and daily maintenance, has also been sued by<\/span> the SEC<\/span><\/a>. The headlines are often worse than they seem, though.<\/span><\/p>\n

The SEC has a habit of going after prominent companies and names; they\u2019ve also failed when aiming to take on other names in the digital asset space, most notably their multi-year, multibillion-dollar takedown of Ripple and their XRP token \u2013 which ultimately proved to be expensive and futile.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While Ripple has struck decisive blows in the case and it continues to drag on<\/span> through the US Supreme Court<\/span><\/a>, XRP doubled in price last year when the judge ruled that it’s not a security \u2013 which is the whole basis of the SEC’s argument.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cryptocurrency wallets often have their apps, as do centralized exchanges, and you can use both on your tablet or specifically as a browser extension when you\u2019re on the web on your iPad or Android tablet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Notifications on<\/b><\/h2>\n

These are two words that every company loves to drill into its customer base, but in crypto, having notifications on is essential if you\u2019re looking to use your tablet to track your investment or trading. <\/span><\/p>\n

While you\u2019ll miss the bulk of the big movements, as they often happen quite spectacularly and quickly, it\u2019ll help you keep updated on your mobile device while you\u2019re using it, or the next time you sign in.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Final words<\/b><\/h2>\n

The interconnectivity of our tablets with every other element of our lives makes separating the two difficult. My iPad is linked to my iPhone; if I get a notification on one, I will get it on the other. <\/span><\/p>\n

So, if the market goes down the toilet, all of my devices will surely let me know on multiple devices \u2013 fun times. <\/span><\/p>\n

Jokes aside, using and tracking your cryptocurrency investment on a tablet or an iPad is becoming increasingly more straightforward, and there are many tools people use to sync their investments across their mobile tablets.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other helpful tips include keeping notifications on and downloading the apps of the software or wallet provider you use. It doesn\u2019t need to be an app \u2013 it could just be a browser extension. <\/span><\/p>\n
