Azio Retro Compact Keyboard (Elwood) For Tablets And Computers Launch April 1st

If you like the idea of electronics in the retro or steampunk segment, then Azio, a company that founded a wirelessly connected old typewriter style of keyboard for tablets and other computers two years ago through a crowdfunding campaign, will now launch all of them, including a new wooden version on April 1st:

If you've ever typed on an old typewriter, you may remember the resistance of the keys and the mechanical sound they make. The Azio Retro Compact Keyboard have been made to imitate that physical feel.

But it has it's own modern twists too. For starters, this thing is actually backlit. And with a rechargeable 5000 mAh battery of its own, this backlight will last a long time.

And while this external keyboard is wireless via Bluetooth, it can be connected by cable too through USB.

There are four different styles to chose fro, including one in wood and metal, a gunmetal model, a artisan model, and a white and brass model, and there's even an ergonomic wristpad to rest your arms on included, so typing will definitely be more comfortable than it was on old typewriters.
