The first model was the Asus Vivobook 13 Slate (T3300K), which launched in November 2021.
The biggest change is the new processor, which is the much sought after Intel Core i3-N300 processor, which with its efficient and modern architecture does very well in terms of performance. After all, this is a 3.8 GHz octa-core processor which in Geekbench 6 can push this Windows 11 tablet to over 1200 in single-core and over 4300 in multi-core benchmark test scores. Which means it can even beat the various Intel Core i5 processors used in the Surface Pro 9 in many areas.

That fact that it also has Intel UHD Graphics 620, 8GB of (4800 MHz) LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage also helps its performance figures.
Another standout feature with this Windows tablet is the Gorilla Glass protected 13.3-inch OLED screen, with a Pantone validated 1920 x 1080 resolution display, featuring a 0.2ms response time, 60Hz refresh rate, 550 nits brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, Dolby Vision, and 4096 levels of pressure sensitive MPP 2.0 pen support.
But the new Asus Vivobook 13 Slate OLED (T3304) is more than just hardware specs. Asus really has put a lot of attention to detail with this tablet. For instance, it has a 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP Full HD front camera and IR camera for face login. But the features includes elements like 3D Noise Reduction during video chats.
It also comes with a couple of Asus apps and features to specifically control this tablet and make the most out of it.
Surprisingly, it’s even built according to a high level MIL-STD-810H rating, so this tablet can be used in many types of weather and conditions, and still work, which is how tablets should be used in my opinion. It’s among the many things that can really distinguish tablets from laptops.
Other specs includes dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, array mics, 4 speakers with Smart Amp and Dolby Atmos, fast charge with 65W support for the 50WHrs battery with a 10 hour battery life, 2x USB C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a 3.5mm audio combo jack, and a microSD card reader.
The weight is 800 grams while the thickness is 8.9mm. The keyboard even has a large trackpad. The rear stand is detachable, but will snap into place on the back if attached.
I always found the first generation model interesting, with the large screen, but that it had the wrong processor and was overpriced. With the new 2023 model, Asus has turned things around completely, and the tablet has really come together this time, so much that it’s one of the best Windows tablets on the market today.
