Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi (2560×1440) Released Too

The Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi was released in the US last week with the Full HD version being the most affordable, at $699. What a lot of people was holding back for however was the WQHD 2560 x 1440 resolution model, with 128GB, 8GB RAM version, with the Intel Core M 5Y71 processor:

Most of these hardware specs are twice of those you can get on the Full HD version of the Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi model, so it’s no wonder why so many people were eagerly awaiting the WQHD Asus T300 Chi instead.

Fortunately the price did not double either, since the price is around $1100 for the WQHD Asus T300 Chi model. There is a 50% difference in clock speed between the 0.8 GHz Intel Core M 5Y10 processor of the Full HD model, and the 1.2 GHz Intel Core M 5Y71 processor.

Other important specs of the high-end 12.5-inch Windows 8.1 tablet includes 64-bit Windows 8.1, 8GB of (1600 MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM, 128GB of ISSD storage, a wide-angle IPS display with 10-finger multitouch support, a complete cover of all Wi-Fi bands with dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac support, a USB 3.0 port, a HDMI port, a 2MP front camera, a full sized keyboard with touchpad, and an 8 hour battery life.

I find the (2560×1440) Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi model an interesting alternative to the Surface Pro 3, differences aside. Those who don’t need digitizer support, like you get on the Surface Pro 3, can get the much much slimmer Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi instead, with a higher resolution display than that of Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 even.
