Asus Transformer Book T100 Chi is the fourth iteration of the Asus Transformer Book T100 ever since it was launched in 2013, and the first one with a Full HD display.
What it has over the normal version of Asus Transformer Book T100, is a higher resolution 1920 x 1200 display, an additional 5MP rear camera that the original does not have, a different hinge, a thinner design, and the option of 128GB of storage in the tablet of the Asus T100 Chi.
The Asus T100 Chi is new to 2015, as the Windows 8.1 2-in-1 Asus Transformer Book T100 Chi was announced at CES on January 6th last month. The specifications for the model that is now available for pre-order are a quad-core Intel Atom “Bay Trail-T” Z3775 processor with a 1.46 GHz normal speed and 2.39 GHz Turbo mode speed, so that puts it ahead of the competing Intel Atom tablets.
It then has 2GB of LP-DDR3 RAM, storage options of 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB, with microSD card support for easy memory card expansion or files transfer and copying.
Most interesting of all is probably the 10.1-inch screen with Full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution, from a IPS wide-angle LED Backlight Glare display with a 16:10 aspect ratio.
If you want to chat or take pictures, there's a 2MP front camera, and a 5MP rear camera. It otherwise has stereo speakers (on the sides of the tablet) with Asus own Sonic Master audio technology and array microphones.
Asus Transformer Book T100 Chi otherwise has 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 4.0 + HS, a micro-USB (USB 3.0) port, a micro-HDMI port, and audio combo jack. The 30 Whrs Polymer battery has an average battery life of 11 hours, which is very good.
The thickness of the Asus Transformer Book T100 Chi Windows 8.1 tablet is 7.2 mm, while the weight is 570 gram. The weight of the keyboard is 510 gram.
On the software side the T100 Chi ships with Windows 8.1 as operating system, and a one year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 Personal in addition.
So the Asus T100 finally has a Full HD display, dual cameras, and a very elegant design with diamond cut finish. Looks like Asus have just produced another bestseller here.
