Asus PadFone S (PF500KL) To Get Android 6.0

Asus have announced that the first Asus tablet to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is the Asus PadFone S (PF500KL).

Asus PadFone S was launched during the summer of 2014, and then got a tiny upgrade early in 2015.

As a PadFone, the Asus PadFone S is a 9-inch tablet with a 5-inch smartphone riding piggyback on it. The specs are decent, but most people like to buy such products seperately, so it’s not the best selling among Asus tablets, though they are in a certain demand.

But at least that brings the total number of confirmed Android 6.0 tablets to 12 tablets as of November 16.

Nexus 7 FHD, and Nexus 9 already have the official Android 6.0 OTA updates, while Sony is working on updates for Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, and Samsung is working on Android 6.0 updates for their four Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablets and for their two Super-AMOLED Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablets.
