Archos 70 Cesium lite $79 Windows Tablet Leaked
Archos have a secretly been prepping a 7-inch Windows 8.1 tablet called Archos 70 Cesium lite, to compete with HP Stream 7 and Toshiba Encore mini.
Archos haven't announced this tablet yet, but thanks to our tipster we learned that Archos cheapest Windows 8.1 tablet yet will be priced at $79/€79/£69, which is a very cheap launch price, but also the same price that the HP Stream 7 can be had for now.
So how good are the specs? We don't know what specific processor the Archos 70 Cesium lite will run, but it is a Intel Atom “Bay Trail” processor at 1.5 GHz, so that narrows down the options. The next bit of crucial specs are the 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with 64GB microSD card support.
The other specifications are low too, like with the 0,3MP front camera and 2MP rear camera. The 7-inch screen have a resolution of 1024 x 600, while the battery capacity is 4000 mAh.
The alternatives and competition in this category are the Toshiba Encore mini with specs similar to the Archos 70 Cesium lite, and the HP Stream 7 with specs that are higher in some areas, like screen resolution. The price is the same $79 for all of them anyway, so that should make the choice pretty easy.
Archos 70 Cesium lite is due for launch in March/April.
