The Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 11 and iPad Pro 12.9 has started shipping to the first customers here and there around the world:
And one of the first receivers, Apple user MrExitStrategy on Youtube, have just posted a video where he runs through many of the features that the keyboard provides, as well as demonstrating his practical experiences with the keyboard together with a side by side comparison of the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro with Apple’s older keyboard without trackpad.
The whole concept of Apple finally launching their own iPad keyboards with a trackpad is a big deal in the world of tablets and computers, since it finally turns iPads into much more complete 2-in-1 tablets.
New and different features with Apple’s keyboards are expected from future iOS updates too, as the customer feedback will provide Apple with some guidance on what to add, change, and improve upon ahead.
Apple is also launching the keyboard in many language options, and not just an English letter setup.
The Apple Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro 11 has the shortest shipping date right now, with Apple estimating a 1-2 weeks delivery date in the US, while the same keyboard for the iPad Pro 12.9 has an estimated 2-3 weeks delivery date right now.
The keyboards are launched for $299 and $349 respectively.
Obviously a high price for tablet keyboard, but considering that an iPad Pro 11 would cost just under $1100 together with the keyboard, then valuing it as a 2-in-1, it’s not priced any higher than the competition.
