Well respected display industry analyst Ross Young says he can confirm that Apple iPad Pro 14.1 is being developed, citing supply chain sources.
He also lets us know that it will utilize a MiniLED display on the 14.1-inch iPad and that it’ll also feature ProMotion.
And while the actual timing of the launch can’t be confirmed yet, early 2023 is the assumption at this point.
Confirmed the 14.1" iPad Pro is being developed with our supply chain sources. It will have MiniLEDs and ProMotion. Not sure of the timing, but early 2023 may be more likely.

It makes sense that Apple is following up with an even larger Pro version of the iPad, after Samsung launched the flagship 14.6-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra tablet earlier this year.
And let’s not forget that Microsoft already have had an even larger 15-inch Surface Book 3 on the market for two years already.
It weighs 817 grams, which is actually not that bad all things considered. I assume Apple’s iPad Pro 14.1 will end up 740 – 770 grams range.
So the 2023 iPad Pro lineup will consist of the iPad Pro 11, iPad Pro 12.9, and the new iPad Pro 14.1.
