Apple iOS 9.3 Features

Apple released the beta version of iOS 9.3 yesterday, just a week after the company released the iOS 9.2.1 beta version. And iOS 9.3 seems exciting so far, and brings with it features that we are seeing on other tablet operation systems and on tablets from other tablet brands that are launching these days too.

The first one of these features is Night Shift. This is simply a feature that reduce blue light exposure after a certain hour in order to not interrupt a users circadian rhythm. Amazon launched a similar feature a month ago for their Fire tablets, and Acer have launched several tablets that does this already.

In Notes, a new option to use protection of the notes is being introduced, which you can open with either a password or fingerprint. New note sorting features are also being introduced.

News gets a new feature, which may not be to everyone’s liking though, with suggested trending topics and Apple editors picks according to your interests. But we’ll see how this will be received over the next couple of months.

Health app gets a slider menu with related exercise apps, as well as a display of move, exercise, stand data, and goals transferred from Apple Watch.

CarPlay gets a lot of new features, although some of these features might differ a little from country to country, but otherwise contains anything from new related music suggestions, to more detailed information in Maps.

Other apps that get an update in iOS 9.3 are Education, new pairing options for Apple Watch, App Switcher, Live Photos, Siri, and Wallet/Apple Pay.

The last 2016 iPad rumor was for the launch of a iPad Air 3 in March. This could coincide with the official update/release of iOS 9.3, but we’ll still have to wait for a little while to see.
