Acer Aspire Switch 12, the 12.5-inch Windows 8.1 notebook that wants to take on Asus Transformer Book T300FA will be released from 19 November onwards worldwide.
UPDATE: Acer Aspire Switch 12 released in North America (US and Canada) March 2015.
It will come with 64GB and 128GB model options. But more importantly is probably the Intel Core M-5Y10a processor inside, the 800 MHz processor with its 2.0 GHz Turbo boost. The GPU is Intel HD Graphics 5300.
The 12.5-inch LED screen have Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, which seems to be the minimum resolution in this category by now. The same should probably be said for the 4GB of RAM.
Other specs include 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Dolby Home Theater powered stereo speakers, a 2MP front camera, one micro-HDMI, one full size USB, one Micro USB, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
As we can see, Acer Aspire Switch 12 is a 2-in-1 that comes with a keyboard, and we also notice that Acer keeps on rolling out unorthodox designs with some of their tablets. If that works for the user, that’s obviously a great thing.
The price is currently estimated to be around $649 – $699. Not so far away from the Surface Pro 3.
