9-Inch Tablet Lenovo Tab M9 Announced – Release In Q2 2023

While it's still 2 weeks before the CES consumer trade show in Las Vegas in January 2023, Lenovo went ahead an announced some of the computer devices they will launch then, including their new 9-inch tablet.

This is of course the Lenovo Tab M9 we leaked in October. And it's great to see the return of a 9-inch tablet again.

Lenovo says that the price will be $139, and that they're aiming to launch it in Q2 2023. OK, so it's a long wait then, and effectively, it's pretty close to the 8.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite.

But let's focus on the Lenovo Tab M9 for the moment. This is a 9-inch Android 12 tablet with a HD screen featuring a HD resolution of 1340 x 800 with 400 nits brightness.

Powering the Tab M9 is a 2-0 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT8786V/N ‘G80' processor, with three model options of 3GB RAM/32GB storage, 4GB/64GB, or 4GB/128GB, with microSD card support up to 2TB.

It's equipped with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a mic, a 2MP front camera with facial unlocking, an 8 MP rear camera, Wi-Fi 5, BT 5.1, optional 4G, a 5100 mAh battery with a 13 hour battery life, a USB C 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack.

The color options are Arctic Grey, and Frost Blue, with the thickness being 7.99mm and weighing in at 344 grams.

So this would have been a popular tablet had it launched already, but with such a long wait, I assume most people will head for Samsung's alternative in the meantime instead.
