200GB SanDisk Ultra Micro SD Card Available

The world’s highest capacity microSD card, the 200GB SanDisk Ultra microSD card is available in the US and for less than SanDisk’s MSRP too, at $239: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-200GB-Micro

The humongous 200GB SanDisk Ultra micro SD card was announced three months ago, and we are happy to see that Amazon is selling it for a lower launch price than was first announced.

This 200GB microSDXC UHS-I card is temperature proof (the operating temperature is: -13ºF to 185ºF (-25ºC to 85ºC) while the storage temperature is: -40F to 185ºF (-40ºC to 85ºC)), water proof, shock proof, magnet proof, and X-ray proof, comes with a SD adapter so you can plug it into anything and transfer files to and from anything (including MIL cameras), and as a statement about SanDisk’s confidence in this memory card they give customers a ten-year limited warranty.

Useful specs include a 90MB/s read speed, and Class 10 for Full HD (1920×1080) video. A memory card of this size can store over 20 hours of Full HD video. That should be handy for upcoming summer vacation trips.

For those who need faster memory cards, the new 2015 Samsung memory cards are a little faster, but have a maximum storage capacity of 128GB. That’s sufficient for tablets and phones though, since only a few tablets can support as much as 128GB microSD card expansion.
