Pretty exciting news today if you own one of Chuwi’s 10-core Android 8.0 tablets, as the tablet brand has announced that their deca-core (10-core) Android tablets will actually be updated from Android 8.0 Oreo to Android 9.0 Pie.
Chuwi says that Pie will be served by Q3 2019, though rollout of the OTA updates are expected to begin in June this year.
The eligible Chuwi tablets for the Android 9.0 update are the 10.8-inch Chuwi Hi9 Plus 2-in-1, the 10.1-inch Chuwi Hipad, the 8.4-inch Chuwi Hi9 Pro, and the popular 10.1-inch Helio X20 powered Chuwi Hi9 Air.
Judging by Samsung’s Android 9.0 tablet update list, it looks like the first Android tablet to be upgraded to Android 9.0 will be the 10.5-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, where the update is expected to rollout from April.
