Samsung Tablets 2015

The list of Samsung tablets for 2015 is going to be long by the end of the year. Samsung built the widest portfolio of any tablet brand in 2014, so in 2015 we’ll see an upgrade of a lot of those tablets, as well as the inclusion of a couple new slates.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7
The first tablets Samsung have announced in 2015. They have the new 4:3 aspect ratio, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM, and run Android 5.0 with Samsung’s TouchWiz, and Microsoft Office for Android. Unveiled on March 17 and then release in the US on May 1 for $299.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0
This tablet has the same specifications as the 9.7-inch model, but the 8-inch model costs $229 instead.

Galaxy Tab A Plus 9.7 S Pen
This tablet is similar to the regular Galaxy Tab A, but also features an integrated Samsung S Pen digitizer that slots into the back of the tablet. It was launched in Taiwan on April 27, and is expected to launch in the US in June.

Galaxy Tab A Plus 8.0 S Pen
An 8-inch version of the Galaxy Tab A with Samsung S Pen digitizer embedded into the tablet. Became available in Taiwan on April 27, and just like the 9.7-inch model it is expected to become available in the US in June.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7
The new 2nd generation Super AMOLED tablet gets a size change from last year’s 10.1-inch size to a new 9.7-inch size with 2048 x 1536 resolution display. Still 3GB of RAM, with a more powerful octa-core processor. Still unofficial, but unveiling is expected in June. At just 407 grams, it will be extremely light. The first pictures have leaked already.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0
The new 2015 model Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 with Super AMOLED display. At 260 grams, this will be the lightest tablet in its class. With Android 5.0 Lollipop, still a high-resolution display, generally top-end specs, 3GB of RAM, and a new octa-core 64-bit Samsung Exynos 7420 processor. It is expected to be presented in June.

Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6-Inch (SM-T560/561)
The first 9.6-inch tablet from Samsung. Unofficial at this point, but confirmed by FCC documents and store listings. Wi-Fi and optional 4G GSM 850/1900 capability, runs Android, a 1.3 GHz processor, and has 1.5 GB of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V (SM-T116)
A entry level budget tablet from Samsung at 7 inches with low resolution 1024 x 600 display, 1GB of RAM, and two 2MP cameras.

Another 7-inch Android budget tablet from Samsung in 2015.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2015)
Leaked by Samsung itself, this is the third generation Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, with specs that should be the highest in class, considering the integrated digitizer, 2560 x 1600, octa-core, 3GB RAM specs of the predecessor.

Samsung SM-T239
A 7-inch tablet that is undergoing testing and evaluation in India. Spotted in export listings with a low price, it too could be a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite successor.

Samsung Galaxy Tab AL / AS
Belived to be Samsung next generation lines of Galaxy Tab’s and Galaxy Note tablets, ranging from 7-inch to 12.2-inch with Android 5.0.

Samsung Foldable Tablets
If this project goes ahead, we might see 8- to 9-inch tablets fold into smaller smartphone-sized tablets we can easily carry in our pocket.

Samsung Galaxy Tab “Warhol” (T911 and T910)
If Samsung decides to launch this tablet, it will be 13.3 inches wide, run Android 5.0, and have resolution of 2560 x 1600.

Samsung SM-T360 / SM-T365
Found in benchmark test with 8-inch screen, Android 4.4, 1.5GB RAM, 1280 x 800 resolution, and 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor.

Samsung 4K Tablet
It would make sense if Samsung was the first brand with consumer tablet sporting a 4K display, since the company values great displays highly. It could be 12 inches wide and have been believed to test run a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor.
