Samsung SM-W700 4K Windows 10 Tablet Leaks

It appears that the upcoming powerhouse of a tablet, the Samsung SM-W700 4K Windows 10 tablet have leaked courtesy of Indian trade registrar Zauba.

The model name is different from what we are used to on Samsung’s Android tablets, but with model names on Samsung’s Windows tablets it’s often a case of anything goes. But what matters is what’s rumored to be underneath this upcoming Windows 10 tablet for 2015 (if indeed this is a Windows tablet, since we don’t know for sure yet since mobile Android devices can carry the SM-W model name as well).

The resolution of the iPad Pro sounded impressive, with a 2732 x 2048 resolution. Well, the upcoming 4K Samsung SM-W700 tablet is rumored to have a resolution of up to 3840 x 2400, which is, well high. So far the the highest resolution on portable Windows tablets have been 3200 x 1800 on the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro, and 2560 x 1440 on the top-end version of Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi.

The rumored Samsung SM-W700 4K Windows 10 2-in-1 tablet that now appear to have leaked is also said to have digitizer support for the Samsung S Pen and to be thin, at 6.2 mm in thickness and only weigh 600 grams. If these rumors are true then those are very significant changes to such a large tablet, and it would strengthen the argument for the mobility of the device.

Hopefully this 12-inch Windows 10 tablet will be available before Christmas, so possibly we’ll see it in November sometime.
