Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 Image Leaks

A purported image of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 that is expected to launch in July have leaked to OnLeaks today.

(UPDATE: Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Launch On July 20 + EXCLUSIVE First Images)

If this is real, it is the first image of the new Galaxy Tab S2. So how does the tablet differ in design from the brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7?

As we can see, the power button and the volume rocker are in the same place, but the microphone have been moved down from the top right side to the middle of the tablet. The microSD card slot appears to be of a different kind, probably to keep the tablet thin. The same goes for the SIM card tray.

The rest of the design seems similar, though the bezel appears a little wider on the sides than on the Tab A. The proximity sensors, front camera, and home key all seem to be placed just like they are on the Galaxy Tab A.

What is difficult to perceive from the image though is the thickness, since this tablet is expected to measure just 5.4 mm – 5.5 mm in thickness. That’s incredibly thin, so we can’t wait to get our hands on this ultra thin tablet in two months time.
