The upcoming and as of yet unannounced Samsung Galaxy Tab A Plus 8.0 have leaked, courtesy of Sammobile, who reveals a few of its main specs.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A Plus 8.0 is an 8-inch Android tablet with Samsung’s S Pen stylus. And this new line of Galaxy Tab A tablets may explain why Samsung didn’t update its Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 in 2014, a tablet with integrated stylus that’s been with us for 2 years now in February.
The specs for Samsung Galaxy Tab A Plus 8.0 are a kind of upper mid-range. It has 2GB of RAM, a quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, an 8-inch screen with a 1024 x 768 resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio.
It’s said to have a 2MP front camera, a 5MP rear camera, 16GB of storage, a 4200 mAh battery capacity, optional 4G LTE connectivity, and a thickness of 7.4mm.
So it looks like we’ll finally get some kind of an updated version of the Note 8.0 or at least a Samsung alternative to it, but considering the low screen resolution, many people who had been hoping for a higher resolution version of the Note 8.0 will pass on this one, even if the display is likely to be quite good. The Full HD Nvidia Shield Tablet is one alternative, though it lacks the particular Samsung Note software features of the Note 8.0.
