After two years of speculations, Nokia finally put all the rumors to rest a few minutes ago and launched Nokia’s very first tablet, the Windows RT 8.1 OS Nokia Lumia 2520. See the specs, pictures, and video below.
The processor was as impressive as we had hoped for in advance, with the 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. We had expected this because of the benchmark tests seen months ago. So certainly the processor isn’t going to hold this tablet back. It has a 10.1-inch FHD 1920×1080 display designed to provide good outdoor and indoor readability, or the best of any tablet in the world even, in Nokia’s own words.
Nokia Lumia 2520 combines 4G LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity. It has a a 6.7MP camera with ZEISS optics, and features fast-charging capability that provides up to 80% charge in one hour. The battery has a 8000 mAh capacity.
Microsoft Office and Outlook comes preinstalled on Nokia’s first tablet.
Color options are red and white with a glossy finish, or cyan and black in a matte finish. The weight is 615g.
Accessories include Nokia Power Keyboard offers a fully functional keypad with gesture trackpad, which offers up to five hours of extra battery life and two built-in USB ports.
