New Acer Iconia One 7 (B1-780) Launching In June

Acer is updating its entry level 7-inch Android tablet Acer Iconia One 7 with a new model carrying the model name Acer Iconia One 7 (B1-780) which replaces the B1-770 and B1-750 models.

Acer Iconia One 7 (B1-780) is a 7-inch Android 6.0 Marshmallow tablet with 1280 x 720 resolution, a quad-core 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT8163 processor, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, and 16GB storage with 128GB microSD card support.

The rest of the specs include 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, a 0.3MP front camera and a 2MP, a 6 hour battery life and a weight of 270 grams.

Just like Samsung tablets these days, it will have the Kids Center app with special features towards children’s use of the tablet. And like other Android tablets from Acer the last year it also features the Acer EZ apps suite with basic apps.

Acer has not said anything about the Acer Iconia One 7 (B1-780) price for the US yet.

The newest 7-inch Android tablet is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0, which according to Samsung will get the Android 6.0 update around the same time that the new Acer Iconia One 7 is launched.

The best value tablet in this category is still the Nexus 7 FHD with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 2GB RAM, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow already.
