The Leaksfly tipster in China has once again claimed to sit on some insights about a purported 2nd generation LG G Pad 8.3.
It’s about time. The first LG G Pad 8.3 was launched in November 2013, and while it was a really lovely 8-inch Android tablet then, it has been bypassed by the even lovelier Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 with their retina displays, or the Full HD Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and gaming tablet Nvidia Shield Tablet with its integrated digitizer.
But even if LG G Pad 8.3 was launched two years ago, it has been upgraded to Android 5.1 since then, so kudos to LG for taking care of their customers.
Leakesfly believes that the next LG G Pad 2 8.3 tablet will be equipped with specs like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 1080p screen, a 5MP front camera, a 8MP rear camera, Android 5.1.1, and possibly be launched in October.
It sounds pretty believable since all the components are of the same suppliers or nature as before, just with a bump upwards in specs so that it will stay more competitive once again.
The first generation model also has dual-band Wi-Fi, so the next model has the potential to be interesting.
(UPDATE: LG G Pad 2 8.3 FCC Approved (LG-V930))
