Lenovo Screen Jacket Teased As Promo For Yoga Tab 3 Pro

Lenovo France launched a new promo today by unveiling the Lenovo Screen Jacket with a fold-out projector canvas, in an effort to drum up some attention towards the built-in projector in their newly launched Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro tablet: http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Yoga-Tablet-Pro-MultiTouch/

The Screen Jacket is said to be a real product and not just a gimmick, as it’s designed by French fashion label Pantheone, a company that Lenovo first did some promo work with back in October, seen further down. The jacket will launch for around $399 eventually, and basically has the white fold-out canvas folded on the inside of the jacket when you carry it.

People have very mixed feelings about the built-in projector in the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro already, and this promo isn’t going to help Lenovo very much I think. The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro already has a beautiful 10.1-inch 2560 x 1600 resolution screen, and if you switch over to using the projector, then you definitely lose the luster that you had when you viewed the same media on the screen.

Lenovo Projector Jacket

This is just a projector problem, and nothing that’s exclusive to Lenovo’s projector, since the projector Lenovo fitted into the tablet is actually very good. But for some obscure reason Lenovo didn’t focus on any marketing of that instead.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro was launched in November and has 4 JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Plus, a 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP front camera. Also on board is Android 5.1 Lollipop, an Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor, 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and 16GB or 32GB eMMC storage options with 128GB support for microSD cards.

Because of the cylinder of the tablet, not only does this tablet have its own projector, but also a huge 10200 mAh battery, with 18 hour battery life and a 49 day standby time. It also has full range Wi-Fi cover.

So, the tablet is good, but the marketing leaves a lot to be desired.
