Huawei MediaPad X2 Glove Touch Enabled Display

Huawei have decided to equip the Huawei MediaPad X2 with Cypress TrueTouch TMA568 controller for the 7-inch Full HD display, which enables the use of thick gloves on the touch screen, high water tolerance and touch screen use with wet fingers, as well as easy-wake gestures through double-tap on the screen.

The Cypress TrueTouch TMA568 controller are thin stackup layers in the touchscreen, which seemingly does nothing to the thickness of the tablet, since the thickness of the MediaPad X2 is a low 7.18 mm.

The specific technology itself is called DualSense and also improves false and missed touches compared to other common touch screen technologies, since it executes both self-capacitance and mutual-capacitance measurements with immunity to charger noise of up to 35V peak-to-peak (Vpp) from 1-500 kHz, with a 0.5-mm cover lens and a 9-mm-wide finger.

Huawei MediaPad X2 is an impressive tablet / dual-SIM phablet otherwise too, with 3GB RAM, a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, an octa-core 64-bit 2.0 GHz Kirin 930 processor, a 1920 x 1200 resolution with wide-angle IPS technology, good sound, a 5000 mAh battery, Android 5.0, and the very low weight of 249 grams.
